PANO – The Ba Son Corporation under the General Department of Defence Industry has finished a trial for the two missile ships numbered M3 and M4 in the waters of the Central province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The ships are among the six vessels of Plan 12418 with advanced weapons and equipment, built under the technology transfer contract between Russia and Vietnam People’s Navy.

During the test, they completed all simulated situations while ensuring the normal operation of equipment at the speed of 40 knots per hour in bad weather with the wind force at the forth to fifth scale and high waves.
The successful trial aimed to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.
As scheduled, the two ships will be handed over to the Navy by the first quarter of 2015.
In July, Naval Brigade 167 received the first two ships M1 and M2.
