NDO – The Vietnamese Party and State always value, support and create the best conditions for young people in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to speed up their exchanges and friendly co-operation, for the benefit of the three countries’ peoples and youths.
Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong made the statement at a December 8 reception in Hanoi to deputies from the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, who are in Vietnam for the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia (VLC) youth co-operation conference from December 5-11.
Politburo member Phong welcomed the working visit by Lao and Cambodian delegations, adding that Vietnam always treasures the traditional friendship, comprehensive co-operation and solidarity with the two neighbouring countries.
Phong hailed the conference as a meaningful activity contributing to educating the VLC’s young people on the special friendly relationship between the three countries and promoting mutual understanding among the VLC’s peoples and youths.
The NA vice chairwoman highlighted the significant role and responsibility played by VLC young generations in building on and bringing into full play the traditional friendship and solidarity between the three countries.
She said she believed that VLC youths would improve the quality of their co-operative programmes and expand ties to other areas aiming to bring about practical benefits.
Vilayvong Bouddakham, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union and Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, informed the NA vice chairwoman of the outcomes of their working visits in Vietnam.
Sincerely thanking the sentiments and deep concern from the Vietnamese Party and State leaders for the three countries’ youths, the guests promised to join hands with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to foster the special friendly solidarity between the VLC’s peoples and young generations and jointly expand co-operation for the VLC’s prosperous development in future.
