The needy receive more houses

PANO – The Department of Policies under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Cao Bang Provincial Military Command on December 17th presented a house to Dang Van Thang, whose son, Dang Tuan Quy, was a soldier of the Liberation Army (the VPA’s predecessor).

Located in Um hamlet, Tam Kim commune, Nguyen Binh district, the 100sq.m house was constructed at a cost of VND 280 million donated by the Ministry of National Defence, his families, locality and some social organizations and benefactors.


On the occasion, the leader of Department of Policies handed over Defence Ministry’s financial assistance to families of former members of the Liberation Army.


The same day, the General Department of Politics handed over ten houses to policy beneficiaries in Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen Province and families of needy officers of the district’s Military Command after four months of construction.


The construction cost was funded by the general department, their families and localities.


Meanwhile, the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army has visited and offered gifts to policy family of Nguyen Thi Xuoi in May Dang hamlet, Phuoc Thanh commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City.


On the occasion, the unit handed over houses to Tran Thi Sach, a martyr’s mother, and wounded soldier Vo Van Duc, whose mother is a heroic Vietnamese mother, in Phuoc Thanh commune. Joint-stock Company 32 and Corporation 28 of the general department donated money to build the houses.

Military Zone (MZ) 2 has presented 54 houses to heroic Vietnamese mothers, martyrs’ wives, seriously-wounded soldiers and needy officers in localities where its constituent units are stationed. On the occasion, the MZ inaugurated 28 houses for policy beneficiaries in Laos’ Northern localities, including Huaphanh, Udomxay, Bokeo, Xayabury, Luangnamtha, Phongsaly and Luangprabang. Each house was constructed at a cost of VND 200 million.


Recently, the War Veterans’ Association of Binh Thuan province presented a house to Pham Van Minh, whose son is working in Truong Sa island district. The house is located in Phu Trinh ward, Phan Thiet city.
