PANO – Three Lao children with congenital heart diseases received timely surgery from doctors of the Vietnam National Hospital for Pediatrics.

Earlier, they were treated at the Lao National Mother and Child Health Hospital.
Ten days after the surgery, they are recovering, said Doctor Le Hong Quang, Deputy Head of the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department.
According to Quang, many Lao doctors had chances to learn and study at the Vietnamese hospital since the cooperation program between the two countries’ health ministries was signed. It helps them to improve their professionalism to diagnose complicated congenital heart diseases.
