PANO – The Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City on December 7th held the second “International Volunteer Day 2014.” More than 700 youth union members from universities, colleges, 34 clubs, groups, and social work teams joined the event.
The program also held “Volunteer Connection” talks, providing a chance for clubs, teams, and groups to share experience and connection. The commitment to holding voluntary activities in support of social facilities in 2015 was then signed and around 220 units of blood were donated. The event will also hold other significant activities.
* The same day, Tran Dai Nghia University and Military Hospital 175 held the voluntary blood donation campaign, attracting the participation of nearly 400 youth members as the teaching staff and cadets of the university, donating more than 300 units of blood. Since 2009, the university youth union has donated more than 1,500 blood units.
