PANO – The blood donation campaign, “Red Sunday”, will be launched at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology on January 25th, according to a press conference on January 20th.
The event, co-organized by the Tien Phong Newspaper, National Traffic Safety Committee, Management Department of Diagnosis and Treatment under the Ministry of Health, and National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, is held in 18 provinces and cities across the country.
The organizing panel targets to collect about 15,000 blood units to meet the blood demand for emergency and treatment in hospitals during the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
Besides, the organizers will pay visits and present gifts to patients in Hanoi and some localities.
