Hai Duong provincial social insurance (SI) sector on January 23 morning held a conference to implement tasks for 2015.
Addressing the conference, leaders suggested that the provincial SI sector in the coming time closely coordinate with departments, boards, sectors, and unions to well observe the Laws on SI and Health Insurance (HI).
The sector should better propagandize and raise the awareness of all people about SI polices; strengthen State management and efficiently carry out functional agencies’ inspections in accordance with the SI Law; ensure the interests of examined and treated people using HI cards, and contribute to rapidly following the route towards universal HI in the province.
The provincial SI agency should proactively give advice, jointly perform, quickly resolve, and publicize relevant administrative procedures; enhance the training and retraining of staffs in the sector in professional qualifications, etc.
In 2014, 246,979 people in the province were covered by SI (up 7.08% compared to 2013), accounting for 29% of those at working age; 1,256,230 people were medically insured, accounting for 73% of the province’s population (higher than the national average level); and nearly 223,000 people were covered by unemployment insurance, reaching close to 26% of those at working age.
With the results achieved in 2014, two collectives and two individuals in the provincial SI sector have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister.
