PANO – 500 cadets from the Logistics Academy responded to a blood donation drive launched by the Academy in association with Central Military Hospital 108 on January 25th.
The number of participants was approximately 150 per cent more than the expected figure. Doctors from the hospital revealed that many cadets with good health had given 350ml of blood each, instead of 250ml as usual. The collected blood units will help ease the blood shortage for the hospital’s emergency during the Tet’s holiday.
The Academy has been leading in blood donation drives over the past years and it planed to carry out three blood donation festivals this year.
