Over 14 million kids given measles-Rubella vaccine

PANO – More than 14 million kids, aged from one to 14, have been injected with measles-Rubella vaccine until January 7th, 2015 under the second stage of the measles-Rubella vaccination campaign, according to the Ministry of Health on January 8th.

The campaign was launched in 63 provinces and cities nationwide. To date, 51 out of 63 localities have a vaccination rate of more than 90 per cent.


The Ministry asked health units nationwide and related organs to complete the campaign’s set targets and ensure adequate vaccines for kids and safe vaccination.


Moreover, the Ministry will send missions to localities for inspection, timely dealing with shortcomings and emerging issues.
