PANO – The Phu Tho provincial People’s Committee has organized a meeting to develop the plan for the 2015 Hung Kings worshipping ritual and Hung King’s Temple Festival.

The week-long festival starting on April 23rd (or on March 5th according to Lunar Calendar), is expected to involve the participation of Son La, Phu Yen, Dac Nong, Tien Giang and Bac Lieu provinces.
The event this year will include the offering ceremony to commemorate Hung Kings and embellish the relic, the “chung” and “giay” cakes (square and round glutinous rice cakes) wrapping and cooking contest, professional art performances, and the art exchange of folk lore of different regions.
At the meeting, all delegates are determined to promptly prepare for the festival, ensuring a solemn ritual for the community with combinedactivities to honour the values of the heritage “Hung Kings’ worship.”
