Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Hanoi city launched the 2015 earth hour campaign under theme “Energy save and dealing with climate change” in Hanoi city yesterday.
Responding to the 2015 earth hour campaign, a ceremony will take place at Hanoi Opera House from 8: 30 pm to 9: 30 pm on March 28, aiming to call for people to turn off their lights for 60 minutes.
Accordingly, Ambassadors of this year’s earth hour campaign included ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam John Nielsen, beauty Thuy Van, and singers Van Mai Huong, Dinh Manh Ninh and Ta Quang Thang.
During the campaign, many activities also will be organized such as poster design competition titled “Earth Hour”; exhibition about climate change, talks between ambassadors and students in Hanoi, Danang, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.
Earth Hour is a global event organised by World Wide Fund for Nature. The campaign was first launched in 2007 in Australia and Vietnam officially joined the event in 2009.
