At a press conference yesterday, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said that it is working on a project to improve grassroot medical clinics in communes and planning grassroot medical clinics network
The project will be submitted to the government after finishing.
The Ministry is also implementing action program on increasing medical clinics quality, listening to local governments on activities of these facilities to improve them.
At the two day meeting “Moving toward nationwide healthcare coverage in Vietnam” in Hue City international delegators proposed many measures for reform and development of communal health stations to improve primary treatment quality for residents.
These proposals which have been implemented in many nations in the world include continuously providing grassroots health care instead of providing treatment when diseases take place as well as issuing early warning of diseases and healthcare methods to people.
Accordingly traditional conception has changed from focusing on the role of hospitals to encouraging medicine growth to meet residents’ demand.
