Whole army’s outstanding young officers honored

PANO – 40 outstanding young officers in the whole army were honoured in Da Nang city on April 15th in the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.


Over the past years, under the leadership, education and training of the Party, State, Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence, young officers have improved their professionalism and political stance. They have always surmounted difficulties and shown responsibility towards all assigned tasks.

This year, 40 individuals were honored in acknowledgement of their good performances in their specific fields.


Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich urged the awardees to continue promoting their skills and political stance in preventing and fighting the “peaceful evolution” plot of the hostile forces and in promoting the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich led a delegation of 40 outstanding young officers to visit the Convalescence Center for National Contributors in Quang Nam province, pay tribute to martyrs at the Dien Ban town War Cemetery in Quang Nam, and inquire after and present gifts to local Vietnamese heroic mothers.


The same day, the General Department of Politics organized an art performance to mark the 40th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30th). The event is broadcast live on the Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.
