PANO – Nuclear industry cooperation is one of the successes in technology cooperation between Russia and Vietnam, affirmed Vladimir Alexsandrovich, Head of the Russian Union of Veterans of Nuclear Energy and Industry, at the meeting with representatives from the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association on March 26th in Hanoi.
Highly appreciating the cooperation in the nuclear industry between the two countries, Vladimir Alexsandrovich affirmed that experiences and lessons from the Da Lat Nuclear Research Institute would help Vietnam build and operate a large-scale nuclear power plant like the Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant.
Major General, Professor Trinh Quoc Khanh, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, said that nuclear power was new for Vietnam, hoping that the Russian association would further support Vietnam in this field, and the two countries would promote cooperation, especially in the nuclear industry.
Vladimir Alexsandrovich affirmed that the association would try its best to support the construction of a nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan province, and added that Vietnam would soon participate in the International Energy and Nuclear Technology Association initiated by Russia.
