VND 232 bln for welfare work in 2014

The 2014 welfare fund has been approved to be nearly 232 billion VND (over US $11 million) sourced from provincial budget.

As planned, the fund will monthly support nearly 80 thousand beneficiaries through out the province.

They are mostly the elderly, disabled children, homeless children and teenagers, and children infected with HIV.

The support will last till the end of the year.

It is reported that the 2013 welfare fund was approved nearly 215 billion VND (over US $10.2 million) for a support of 74,823 people.
