PANO – The Academy of Politics in association with Phu Tho provincial Military Command and a branch of Viettel, a military-run telecom group, in the province on August 11th kickstarted the program, “Army joins hands for community’s health” in Thach Kiet, Thu Cuc and Kim Thuong communes, Tan Son District.
During the program, the unit’s medical staff gave free health check-ups to policy beneficiaries, the elderly, needy locals and revolutionary contributors in the localities as well as equipped them with knowledge of birth control and HIV/AIDS prevention and methods to stay healthy.
The organizers also granted gifts to needy people and students with good academic results in the communes.
On the occasion, the academy presented medical equipment to a health station of Thanh Kiet commune and handed over VND 70 million to the communal authorities for the construction of a house for war invalid Pham Dinh Cuong.
