PANO – 65 troops from Commando Brigade 113 of the Commando Arm on December 19th helped local authorities and people put out a blaze in the pine woods under the management of the Forestry Science Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Thanh Cao village, Ngoc Thanh commune, Phuc Yen town, Vinh Phuc province.
The blaze broke out at around 2am the same day. Being notified of the blaze, the brigade’s troops tried hard to save the woods in cold weather.
Their efforts were paid off. The blaze was extinguished at 7am, and hundreds of hectares of forest were saved, but six hectares were burned down.
