US Army Pacific Command’s delegation visits Vietnam

PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Deputy Minister of National Defence on January 19th received General Vincent Brooks, Commanding General of the US Army Pacific and his entourage during his trip to Vietnam.

Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty confirmed that the visit would contribute to strengthening the friendship between the two countries and hailed the defence cooperation between the two countries, especially in delegation and information exchanges, and search and rescue operations. Appreciating the support of the United States for the Vietnam Peacekeeping Center, Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty believed that the cooperation between the two countries would be further promoted.


* Earlier in the day, in the talks with General Vincent Brooks, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army affirmed that the visit of the delegation this time has vividly shown the increasingly developing cooperation and relations between Vietnam and the United States. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff believed that the visit would achieve fine results, contributing to strengthening defence and friendship ties of the two countries.
