(CPC) - Even as the official kick off of the SEA Games 27 is approaching, the host nation Myanmar is really wondering how to best provide all the necessary accommodations.

The available number of rooms is likely not enough for the increasing demand of officials, athletes, assistants and fans. As many as 10,000 people will travel to Myanmar during this biggest regional sports festival.

So far, hotel rooms in the former capital Yangon (the venue of 7 events) are still available, however it is a “real issue” for the capital of Naypyitaw which will host most of the sporting activities. A lot of Vietnamese fans and reporters have been unable to find rooms in Naypyitaw.

The organizing committee of SEA Games said it has been prepared over 4,000 hotel rooms and 10 buildings in Naypyitaw (each can serve around 640 people).

Besides, SEA Games athlete village, with capacity of 3,000 people, is hopeful of meeting the demand of participants.

If men’s football event is still happening in Yangon, accommodation demand in the capital Naypyitaw will likely cool off, as a lot of fans and reporters will stay there. In case of having some threatened security problems (Yangon is a hot place for bomb attacks in the last few months), this most favoured and must-see sports event will be removed to Naypyitaw as B plan, thus creating a big mission for the authority.

The new capital of Naypyitaw is an amateur in welcoming tens of thousands of visitors and fans, thus it is likely to face lot of challenges.

Home-stay (cheaper and more flexible) is a really good choice for Vietnamese reporters, who are “so professional and intelligent” in dealing with this problem via regional and continental sports events.

Travelling during SEA Games is also set a big issue for Myanmar during this time./.
