​Last week, Acting Chairman of the Quang Ngai PPC Le Quang Thich chaired a meeting with relevant departments to get comments on the investment policy of Quang Ngai market construction.
According to the designed plan proposed by the Quang Ngai city People’s Committee, Quang Ngai market (new market) will be built in the old market place (Nguyen Nghiem Ward, Quang Ngai City) in an area of ​​5,960m2, type -I market standard with 950 business shops to sell dry goods.
Quang Ngai market consists of one basement and 3 floors, in which, the market basement will be used for parking and engineering functions; the 1st floor and 2nd floor used for the entire operation of the 950 business shops; the 3rd floor for management board and catering services and recreation.
Total investment capital is estimated nearly 160 billion VND sourced from the provincial budget and other mobilized funds.
The market will be implemented in the period of 2014 – 2017.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Thich agreed in principle for Quang Ngai new market investment and emphasized the necessity, urgency of early construction after ahuge fire broke out in Quang Ngai marketin 2012.
Quang Ngai PPC also assigned the City People’s Committee as an investor and required departments and units concerned to expeditiously complete procedures and submit to the Provincial People’s Council for approval with a target of putting it into use in late 2016.
The investment for the new market is necessary and urgent, contributing to the objective of Quang Ngai city to become a grade-II city in the next time.
