PANO – The Corporation 319 under the Ministry of National Defence on January 17th inaugurated a section of Highway No. 1 from Phan Thiet to Dong Nai in Long Khanh town, Dong Nai province after more than 20 months being upgraded since April 18th, 2013.
Senior Colonel Tran Dang Tu, the Corporation’s General Director unveiled the upgradation of this 114km-long section cost more than VND 2,071 billion.
The corporation will operate this section in 22 years and 7 months under the BOT mode.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Ngoc Dong highly spoke of the investor’s efforts to complete the project on time with high quality and safety of both personnel and equipment.
Dong also stressed that it is among important sections of the project on expanding the Highway No. 1 between Hanoi-Can Tho. The operation of this section will help ease traffic jams and reduce traffic accidents in the localities along the road and contribute to economic development in Binh Thuan, Dong Nai provinces in particular and the Southeastern region in general.
